Advisory Council Meetings

Advisory Councils meet in the Central Office Conference Room at 3710 Landmark Drive, Suite 208, Columbia, SC 29204.  Scheduled meetings are as follows:

Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities (PAIDD) Advisory Council

The PAIDD Advisory Council was established to provide the Board of Directors of Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities, Inc. with critical information regarding the current and long-term unique needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their family members.

NOTE:  PAIDD Advisory Council meetings will be hosted by Webex, versus in person (until further notice).  Webex instructions will be sent out prior to the meeting.

Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness (PAIMI) Advisory Council

The PAIMI Council was established to provide advice and recommendations to the P&A staff and board, work with the Board to develop policies and priorities, and is in charge of submitting a section of the P&A’s annual report to the federal government.

Minority and Rural Outreach Program (MROP) Advisory Council

In 1989 the P&A Board created an advisory council to concentrate on strategies to reach and serve minority, rural, and underserved populations in South Carolina. The council has remained dedicated to advocacy for people with disabilities in minority and rural communities throughout South Carolina.
