P&A Announces New Executive Director
The Board of Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities, Inc. (P&A), is extremely pleased to announce Beth Franco as the new Executive Director of P&A, effective January 2019.
Ms. Franco is originally from Pennsylvania and graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Economics, and received a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Drexel University. She is an experienced Executive Director with over 15 years of nonprofit leadership specializing in strategic development, community engagement, and financial management.
Franco has a keen passion for the mission of P&A and says, I am very excited about the opportunity to serve as the new Executive Director. As a mother of a daughter with a disability, I have a personal understanding of the challenges that people with disabilities and their caretakers face. I look forward to working with the Board and staff to ensure that the legal rights of people with disabilities are protected.
Founded in 1977, P&A is the federally funded organization serving as the Protection and Advocacy System (P&A) and the Client Assistance Program (CAP) for individuals with disabilities in South Carolina. P&A is a private, nonprofit, corporation.
